Technical Terms #1

Mhz-is a unit of frequency
Network-is a group of computers that are connected to each other for the purpose of communication
GB-a unit of information used for example to quantify computer memory or storage capacity
Boot-is a bootstrapping process that starts operating systems when the user turns on a computer system
RAM-temperary memory used by a computer to store information
Resolution-the quality of an x-ray crystallography data set
Non-system disk error-error message that usually means a floppy disk has been left in a computer when its turned off
Firewall-is a part of a computer system or network that is designed to block unauthorized access while permitting authorized communications
Bit-is the basic unit of information in computing and telecommunications
ROM-class of storage media used in computers and other electronic devices
